This will be my last project with Creative Paperclay® on October 17th. I've enjoyed every

moment sharing and creating with this awesome design team for two terms.

I've learned many fun techniques with Creative Paperclay® and know that

this will be an essential tool to have in my stash.

and it has found its way to my heart

Once Upon at Time....

INGREDIENTS

Creative Paperclay®

Delight®

Background Props - Cricut Cartridge - Happy Hauntings and India

Paper Mache Ball (Apple)

Paper Mache Chest

Acrylic Paints - MS Mint, Glitz Red

Wilton - Heart candy mold

Lindys Stamp Gang Spray - Rhodoendron Red Rose

Ranger Adirondack color wash spray - Red Pepper

Apple

Took the paper mache ball and Creative Paperclay® and rolled for

balls for the bottom of the apple. Rolled out another sheet of Creative Paperclay® and wrapped around the ball and shaped it into an apple. Once completely dry I sanded it down smooth down

the roundness of an apple. I sprayed with adirondack color wash spray red pepper and sprayed LSG spray

Poison Goop

I took Delight® and added acrylic paint, Rolled out and lay right on top of apple to form the skull like impression

Chest

I rolled out more Creative Paperclay® and added dimension to the chest all around and on top

I also impressed an embossing folder 

I painted  red inside and out

Heart

I rolled Creative Paperclay® and place into a candy mold heart.

let dry and colored and spray same as apple

I also added some embellishments from my stash

I am pleased with the outcome. TOTAL FUN and will be placed in my case of goodies.

Creative Paperclay Design Team Submission 2013

Hello Everyone As many of you know I design for Creative Paperclay® my term will end soon I decided to tryout out for the next term
Diamond Mobile

 Not knowing what cookie cutter I was going to use...

 I used acrylic yellow and glitter paint

Decided to use my square cookie cutter

backed Creative Paperclay® according to the instructions

Painted the embroidery hoop with Distress paints

I used yarn

 I am going to let my girls finish it off by paints and bling

it out

My nana has been in an out of the hospital

and it has been exhausting

sleep walking

considering she is 87 years

life has gotten the best of her

and I am trying to spend as much time allowed

to be with her

My nana also has dementia which is not fun

she loves me 

she loves me not

she remember all her children and ask who you are

it sometimes can be an emotional roller coaster

I created this wall decor

with nana in mind

as I reflect on how fragile we all are

HISTORY

The Sacred Heart (also known as Most Sacred Heart of Jesus) is one of the most widely practiced and well known devotions, takingJesus' physical heart as the representation of his divine love for humanity.

This devotion is predominantly used in the Catholic Church and among some high-church Anglicans and Lutherans. The devotion especially emphasizes the unmitigated love, compassion, and long-suffering of the heart of Christ towards humanity. The origin of this devotion in its modern form is derived from a French Roman Catholic nun, Marguerite Marie Alacoque, who said she learned the devotion from Jesus during a mystical experience. Predecessors to the modern devotion arose unmistakably in the Middle Ages in various facets of Catholic mysticism.^[1]

In the Roman Catholic tradition, the Sacred Heart has been closely associated with Acts of Reparation to Jesus Christ. In hisencyclical Miserentissimus Redemptor, Pope Pius XI stated: "the spirit of expiation or reparation has always had the first and foremost place in the worship given to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus".^[2] The Golden Arrow Prayer directly refers to the Sacred Heart.

Devotion to the Sacred Heart is sometimes seen in the Eastern Catholic Churches, where it remains a point of controversy and is seen as an example of Liturgical Latinisation.

The Sacred Heart is often depicted in Christian art as a flaming heart shining with divine light, pierced by the lance-wound, encircled by the crown of thorns, surmounted by a cross and bleeding. Sometimes the image is shown shining within the bosom of Christ with his wounded hands pointing at the heart. The wounds and crown of thorns allude to the manner of Jesus' death, while the fire represents the transformative power of divine love.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart has been in the Roman Catholic liturgical calendar since 1856, and is celebrated 19 days afterPentecost. As Pentecost is always celebrated on Sunday, the Feast of the Sacred Heart always falls on a Friday.

Creative Paperclay® - Eclectic Tree Ornament

Hello Everyone!

It has been pretty 

busy around here

and brain is working on overtime with 

creations to share

Sometimes things you envision comes

out different in the process

ECLECTIC TREE ORNAMENT

I used star shaped cookie cutters

and put them to good use

 After following the directions for 

baking the Creative Paperclay®

 I painted the stars with Lumiere Acrylics

 Halo Blue Gold and Pearl White on one side

 Mod Podged

 with Martha Stewart's Aquamarine Crystal and Tinsel Glitters

 Rolled and used Tim Holtz Distress Stain

Brushed Pewter to create balls to be placed between the

stacked stars

I added pearls underneath the faux leaves/branches ;0) 

 This can also be created with your 

children and given to their teachers for the holidays

just changed to your color palette

and add beads or metals or whatever your heart desires
