Abuela (grandmother) Rosa
but I call her mama
She has endured much in her life
Once a vibrant, vocal and full of life
Fragile, quiet, and unsure of life
She took care of me
It's my turn to take care of her
going through dementia
starting not to remember who I am.....

Jessica, what a beautiful project! I love all the details, and the colors really pop on the white background. I love that you used a black and white picture for Mama. So sorry that she's losing her connections. As you're caring for her, be sure to take time for yourself.
