KinderStampO - My Vintage Valentines

Ladies, ladies, ladies
Welcome to KinderStampO's My Vintage Valentines Blog Hop.  If you just left Martha of pattisscrapingtime then you are in the right place. If you are just here visiting and want to start from the top Click Here.

VINTAGE VINTAGE VINTAGE
It's becoming an interesting part of my craft worlds.  The more I did research on vintage everything (overload) I started to see things in sepia and a bit faded (lol). Okay that was corny.

Nevertheless, this vintage is fascinating to me. It adds character to anything you make.
I have always been a trio kinda of gal, so if it has two colors I have to add a dash of another color.

It was a toss up between two different crafts.
Hope you like the one I picked.
The other craft I will do a video tutorial (cross your fingers)

"CHOCOLATE AMOR"
WALL DECOR
INGREDIENTS
(some materials shown in above pics may have changed during creation)
Canvas board - Big Lots
Chipboard letter - Hobby Lobby
Acrylics Paints - Michael's and FolksArt (brown, cream)
Shaving Cream
Tim Holtz - Adironack Mixative Metallics
Flock - MS
Crackle Medium - Accents
Glitter - Michaels
Pearls - old prom dress... don't ask
Glimmer Mist Iridescent Gold
Tsukineko - Antiquing Solutions
Flowers - Recollections and Prima
Buttons, lace and bakers twin - Michael's and Hobby Lobby

MARBELIZING
When I first tested this technique I used McCormick's neon food coloring

It came out sooo P-R-E-T-T-Y!
this is the effect I wanted ...

Then I forgot... it was vintage

FYI
Painted canvas didn't take the marblizing at all
Use what you got right!

I splattered the Adironack metallic mixatives
and used the end of a dowel rod to get this effect and glimmer misted
PEARLIZING
Painted and added pearls with glue gun.

FLOCKING
I painted it dark brown let dry
Applied a coat of fabric fushion and BAM put flock on top
Distressed rusted look!

CRACKLE
I painted the outside dark brown then layerd white on top and
used crackle medium to get the weathered look

Painted inside with Inca Gold paint and my brown
paint foam brush to give it the weathered look too
Dabbed the edges with Tsukineko - Antiquing Solution

GLITTER
I was so involved with my project that I forgot to take pics of my process
You can use any adhesive, regular glue, tacky tape, xyron and
BAM or sprinkle your glitter on it.

Added flowers, butterfly, bakers twin, lace, and buttons
VOILA!
